Business Needs

Toshiba has just released a new range of notebooks that are not only stylish in design, but also contain a whole slew of capabilities. In order to properly showcase the notebooks, the company needed an Interactive microsite that can convey the notebooks features as well as its stylish designs.

Apart from showcasing the new line of notebooks, the microsite can also help support the company’s online presence.

Solution

The most challenging part of designing the microsite is to create a visually attractive all-flash microsite that answers to the requirements of the client. The most important element of the site is the inclusion of Toshiba's TVC campaign “Made Above All”. This theme has to be echoed in the site’s main page design.

Another challenge is to construct an intensive Flash interactive microsite that combines 3D animation and yet maintain a relatively fast download speed so that visitors to the site need not have to wait for long for the site to load. With only raw images of the notebooks provided by the client, Notion Age was required to do some Digital Imaging on the images to give that polished feel to the already stunning products. Adding to the whole elegant feel of the site are the soothing sound clips you hear throughout the microsite.

To help promote the microsite, Notion Age has also created a Flash banner for the Toshiba Asia home page.
